Please be advised that the term of office of certain Directors of the 41st General Committee of our Association will soon expire. According to Article 45 of the Articles of Association, one-third of the Directors of the General Committee have to retire. Five of the Directors, Mr. SO Wing Keung, Mr. Bob WAI Siu Kit, Mr. Philip LAI Yuen Sing, Mr. CHAN Chin Pang and Mr. HUNG Han Sang who have been Directors for 3 years must retire. According to the resolution of the 9th Directors’ Meeting of the 41st General Committee, Mr. LAI Hin Kiu, Mr. WONG Kenneth Stephen, Ms. LAI Yim King, Mr. Louis TANG Shung Ching and Mr. KAO Timothy Daniel shall retire. In addition, Mr. YIP Siu Fan will also retire on the same time. Furthermore, Mr. WONG Kwok Kuen resigned from office during the period of duty of the 41st General Committee. Thus, Twelve (12) directorship openings on the 42nd General Committee of the Association would be available for election. The above-mentioned retiring Directors shall be eligible for re-election for vacancies of Directors for the 42nd General Committee. The term of office normally lasts for three years. A member who wishes to offer himself/herself for election as Director for the aforesaid election should complete and sign on the attached form and return the same to the Association on or before 12 May 2010 together with his/her resume in about 200 words (either in Chinese or English). Candidates are requested to attend our 42nd Annual General Meeting to be held in June 2010 and, once elected as Director(s), should participate at the General Committee Meeting for mutual election of office-bearers after the Annual General Meeting on the same day.
